Could you bump up the allowed avatar file size, Cham? 64k is too small to have an animated avatar if anybody wants one. :X

Off-site avatars have no file restrictions. You can easily host such an avatar off-site and link to it. However, 64KB is a bit small for those who have no means of off-site hosting, you are right. I however, cannot change the value, it is restricted by the forum host. I highly recommend the Firefox Plugin known as "Imagebot" for quick and easy file hosting for such things as avatars and sigs.

Well that may raise another question. I am able to utilize the upload from another site option, but the link to another site fails. I originally thought that the restrictions were in effect on linked images as well, but trying my current avatar (which falls within criteria) still refuses to link.

Anyone else have trouble linking from other sites? I'm using my ftp on ordergaming as my host. It works fine as a source from other sites, such as {J}.

I'm really not sure what the deal is, Bun. My avatar are all linked from imageshack via Firefox Imagebot and I've had no problems here, but then again, mine isn't animated. I'd imagine the site also has no issues with animated images because many of the smileys are animated. It could just be a forumotion not liking your ordergaming FTP, or maybe there is some sort of loading time restriction that I don't know about.

You could try posting it as a sig and see if that works. If it does, it must be some kinda avatar restriction that can't be changed. If not, it's a hangup in the works between your o-gaming and forumotion.

BTW, is the avatar 150 x 200 pixels or less? If not, that would be why it isn't working, because that's also a restriction that can only be lowered. :-/
